Angel at YESS 2013

Angel gave us these pictures at our supervised visit 7/20/13. She was proud that she was voted Miss YESS. She did not tell us. Catrina told us. Angel does little talking. We did have fun doing our nails. YESS is a camp for children with special needs. It helps these children with retaining what they had learned in the school year plus work on areas they need additional help with. This gives children, who cannot go to a camp, have something special to go to during the summer. Some of the children do not qualify for summer school. High school age children do not attend summer school because the schools only have to teach life skills because of how the laws are written.  believe and others also believe that schools are failing to use technology which would give the children, with special needs, an opportunity to do jobs which would be careers that they would enjoy plus be proud that they are helping their community.

Our oldest daughter(Angel) is being supported by her aid in this picture. This shows her leg muscles are getting weaker. She has been in parades where she stood in the back of a truck or float. We made sure she had plenty of sleep, high protein meal, took all of her medications, did little activity prior to the parade, and wore her leg braces. She is not using her medical equipment or taking her medications. This is evidence that she is not receiving proper medical care.

Letter Writing Campaign

                                                                                                                                     July 19, 2013

Dear Family and Friends,

I have told you that Department for Children and Families (DCF, old name was Social and Rehabilitation Services. This is one of the hidden predators which are harming children and families in Kansas. Another predator is Sedgwick County Juvenile Court. Here is a reminder of what Kansas and Sedgwick County Juvenile court are being investigated:

June 13, 2013 I went to a meeting where the speaker was Phyllis Gilmore who is Secretary of Department for Children and Families. She gave a presentation of what is happening with DCF. She stressed that DCF is not Social and Rehabilitation Services-SRS. I was given the honor to ask the first question. I was very nervous because the judge over our case was also at the meeting. I asked if DCF is going to set right what SRS did with wrongfully removing children from their homes and keeping the children out of the home by untruths in court reports. The judge stated that no case can be discussed. Ms. Gilmore told him that I did not ask about my case and repeated the question. She stated Kansas is under investigation for too many children in custody and too many children kept out of the home. Judges also will be investigated. Sedgwick County juvenile court (our case is in this court) - judges, attorneys, and court workers, DCF Wichita office, and Youthville for violating the First Amendment. She told her staff to be sure and gives me contact information for you and me. Mr. Kahrs gave me his card after the meeting. He has told me that he will look at our case to see how to bring our daughters home.
David and I have been hoping that DCF would be sending children home because of the investigation. DCF has the legacy of SRS which was not positive. The only way for people to believe DCF is protecting children and families plus making the families stronger, there needs to be some positive news to show how DCF is accomplishing what SRS failed to do.

I would like to start a writing letter campaign either mail or email. If you are comfortable calling the people that would be great too. We need to make DCF, Governor Brownback, and Sedgwick County Juvenile realize people do know about the investigation and that the court and agency are seen as predators instead of protectors.

Write about your concerns with CPS part of DCF. Also write about families you may know who have had their children wrongfully removed and untruths are keeping the children out of the home. We need to stress that this does affect the children for the rest of their life. I saw an ad by Charles Koch Foundation which states the United States was the top country for protecting people’s rights. Our economy is affected by states not protecting children and families’ rights according to the ad. I also went to seminar where business people talking about what they look for to expand or move their company to a new city and state.  They look at how children and families are protected by CPS, juvenile court, and family court to make their decision to expand and/ or move the company to a new city and state.

Sedgwick County Juvenile Court is being investigated also for First Amendment (religious rights) rights violated. David and I have the evidence proofing First Amendment rights violated by SRS social worker before our daughters were removed. The violations continue today.

Judges fill out an accountability form every year. It is easy to check on judges filling out the form honestly who are not in juvenile or family court. Judges in family and juvenile courts do not have to be honest on their accountability form because there is, at this time, no way to check to see if the judges are being honest. Our judge stated in April 2011 that he chooses what an investigator sees with the cases the investigator is check on. Does the judge have more than one file on the cases- a file which has everything and a file which only has what he wants an investigator to see?

Here are issues I have found which is happening in Kansas:

1.        Children with special needs targeted by SRS/DCF for federal funds. Most of the children will not go home.

2.        Children who are really being abused are either being rescued by law enforcement or killed by their abusers. These children do not have special needs. SRS/DCF knew about the abuse and the abuse was life threatening. In some cases, SRS/DCF had evidence. How much does it cost a child to be rescued by SRS/DCF? - Adam Herrmann was a foster child who was adopted by his foster parents. SRS knew the foster parents were abusing him but still allowed the adoption to go forward. In 2009, he was reported missing by a person who was not his adoptive parents. He went missing in 1999. He has been declared dead. The adoptive/foster parents are in prison for money fraud. No one has been charged with Adam’s murder. Jayla was killed by her mother. There is a Facebook Page “Justice for Jayla”. The news stated that SRS social worker testified in Butler County Court that there was evidence of abuse and the abuse was life threatening.

3.        Youthville gets life insurance on the children in their custody (foster care). April 2011 a brother and sister went on a pass to see their family during the Easter weekend. Youthville knew that both children had gang issues. The brother was in a gang> the sister was dating a boy in a rival gang. The brother was ordered to kill his sister and her boyfriend. He only killed his sister. There are reports which states how much Youthville makes on the death of children. Are children worth more dead than alive?

4.         Sedgwick County DA’s office was investigated for tampering with court reports and evidence. The investigation did find evidence of this happening. Nothing happened to the DA (Nola Foulston) or her staff. She was allowed to retire in 12/12. Here are two articles in the Wichita Eagle which talks about the investigation:

a.        Child Welfare No Place for Bullying 9/1/09

b.       Audit Says Few Social Workers Pressured 8/29/09

Here are the addresses of people I would ask you to write to so DCF and the juvenile court knows that they cannot hide anymore. These were the hidden predators. There are other people and agencies which helped with wrongfully removing children and keeping the children out of the home. People need to get involved and help us fight to protect the children in Kansas and all the other states.

Please write these people to let them know that wrongfully removing children from the home and keeping the children out of the home will no longer be allowed. These people need to follow federal and state laws. We tell children that only the truth is to be told in courts. Until the courts start only accepting the truth, children cannot be taught that courts are just. These people are mandated to protect children but they have been the hidden predators which have been hurting children for years.

Thank you for your time and caring!

Federal and State Complaints Filed

The first picture is the dividers used in the complaints. The other pictures show the files which have been sent to Washington, DC and Kansas offices and boards. I am hoping since Kansas is being investigated that the boards and offices will investigate our complaints.

Update on supervised visits

July 6, 2013

We had our supervised visit.  We brought for a snack their favorite ice cream flavors. Angel did not eat very much. Catrina stated that Angel is not eating very much. Catrina told us in June that Angel weighs 105 lbs. Angel should weigh 120 lbs. according to charts-age and height. Catrina told us she weighs 130 lbs. and is concerned that she is getting fat. The last time Angel lost this much weight her doctors wanted to put her in the hospital. The cause of the previous weight loss was a teacher and para were abusing her. She is losing weight for a reason. Catrina told us the Sheila Crabtree will not allow her to bring her glasses. People, who wear bifocals, generally wear them all day or bring the glasses along in case they have to read something. This could be damaging her vision. Catrina and Angel are not using their orthotics. Angel wears leg braces. Catrina has an insert for her shoes. I was doing exercises with them. Angel and Catrina are having problems with their ankles rolling in ward. Catrina wants to walk heal to toe. I was working with her on that. Her muscles in her ankles started having tremors. This is a sign they have gotten weaker. Angel started to do heal to toe and almost fell. When she was sitting next to me on the floor, I could feel her legs having tremors. Angel did very little talking. She did cry. She was also falling asleep. The social worker could not see this because Angel’s back was to her. Their bodies are starting to have muscle and fatigue issues because of not using medical equipment and not taking their vitamin and mineral cocktail for Mitochondrial Myopathy. I know that none of this is being told to the court.
